Tip of the Day: "The wedding color palettes I'm seeing for spring and summer are beautiful muted pastels — think Caribbean sea or pale, pale pistachio green. For a fall/winter wedding, think about deep, dark green or my favorite combo: dahlia red paired with slate grey," says celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss from Mindy Weiss Events.

7 Exciting Ideas for Your Ceremony Exit

You've probably got your walk down the aisle covered — the song that will be playing, the order of the processional, even the person who will walk you toward your beloved. But have you thought about your trip back up the aisle? Well, once you seal your newlywed status with a kiss, it's important to start your happily ever after (oh, and your reception) off in style. Not sure what to do for your big exit? Here are seven spectacular ways to shut down the ceremony.

Tip of the Day: There are plenty of horror stories about power outages and blown fuses at weddings, so how can you make sure the party stays lit and the music stays on, no matter how many amps the band plugs in? First, know your venue. "This usually isn't a problem in most modern hotels," says Nichols. "But it could be in an older or historic property or at an outdoor venue," says Amy Nichols from Amy Nichols Special Events.

If you're concerned about the power capabilities at your space, be sure to ask the staff whether or not they recommend renting a generator, just in case you use more power than the venue can provide. Also, examine the outlets: Simple two-pronged outlets are a sure sign you may need special connectors or even a generator.

Tip of the Day: When it comes to capturing the details you've worked so hard to plan, it's key to have a list of the still-life shots you want: the cake, the centerpiece, your wedding gown on the hanger, place cards, bouquets and more. "Some things, like escort cards, are time sensitive, so it's good to know when they'll be placed, so the photographer can get to them before the guests do," says Lisa Lefkowitz from Lisa Lefkowitz Photography.

Tip of the Day: Are Mom and Dad willing to contribute financially to your wedding? Before broaching the topic with them, sit down with your fiancé and discuss your expectations.

"Make sure you get to a point where you both agree on your vision and how much it will cost," says financial pro Pam Krueger, author of The Moneytrack Method. "This conversation will be the springboard for how you deal with money as a married couple." Remember to listen to your guy and to make compromises. Be honest with each other about both families' financial situations; you may find that you have to scale back on your original idea.
