Tip of the Day: Your floral creations should complement your wedding venue. "Consider the space you are working with — let that be your canvas for your flower inspiration. Don't try to outdo it or make it into something it's not," says Matthew Heron, florist on BloomNation and Owner and Head Florist of The Petal Workshop in Los Angeles, CA.

"For example, here we chose a modern black and white color palette to enhance the simplicity of the space. White David Austin garden roses and hydrangea paired with black vessels achieved the look and feeling that we were attempting to create," he says.

Hospitalized Grandma Couldn't Attend Wedding, So Newlyweds Brought the Celebration to Her

Jamie Benjaminson and Matt Seifort got married on January 24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but there was one special person missing at the festivities — the bride's grandmother, Pat. A week before their wedding, she fell ill and was hospitalized.

Since she couldn't watch them exchange vows at the ceremony or dance with them at the reception, the newlyweds decided to do the next best thing possible: surprise her at the hospital! Their bridal party and videographer accompanied them as well.

Tip of the Day: "Your wedding gown is likely to be the most expensive garment you'll ever own, yet you only get to wear it once. And the one time you do wear it, it's on a hectic day when you're being rushed from preparation to the ceremony to the reception, and hurriedly taking zillions of photos along the way. Why not honor the dress with a fun fashion shoot before your big day?" says Chris Smith from Chris and Cami Photography, a member of Professional Photographers of America.

Taking bridal portraits before the wedding will help you get to know your photographer so that you feel completely at ease in front of the camera when you say your "I do's." Above all else, have fun!
