Tip of the Day: When purchasing a wedding ring or band, always get paperwork that explains the quality of the stones. "It is important for insurance reasons and also for understanding the value of your ring," says Christine Scott of WP Diamonds. "This can simply be a jewelers or insurance appraisal, however, we recommend that all diamonds over 0.5ct be certified by the GIA, the leading authority in gemology."

Tip of the Day: Always set a limit to how many guests you can invite so you never go over the quota allowed at your venue (or break the budget!). While not everyone will attend, don't account for that and end up inviting more than you can have. Janel Grant of Janel Elise Events says, "expect that 10-20% of invited guests will decline to attend so don't underestimate people's desire to be there for your wedding day."

Tip of the Day: Before sending out your batch of invitations, mail a test invite to yourself first to see how it looks. "If your invitation comes back bent out of shape, consider housing your invitation inside of a pocket holder, card stock envelopes, or a boxed mailer," says Nichole Rocero of Nic.Roc. Designs. If you're not happy with the way your invite looks, she suggests adding an envelope liner, which adds character.

Tip of the Day: Use pieces from your ceremony throughout your reception to create a cohesive theme. "Once you pick those style elements that you love, use them in more than one way for a 'pulled together' wedding design," says Aviva Samuels, the creative force behind Kiss the Planner. If your chuppah or ceremony arch features florals or branches, add the same features to your napkin treatments or centerpieces.
