Tip of the Day: When purchasing a wedding ring or band, always get paperwork that explains the quality of the stones. "It is important for insurance reasons and also for understanding the value of your ring," says Christine Scott of WP Diamonds. "This can simply be a jewelers or insurance appraisal, however, we recommend that all diamonds over 0.5ct be certified by the GIA, the leading authority in gemology."
