Tip of the Day: "Let's face it — wedding invitations can quickly add up to a small fortune, especially when you factor in response cards, reception cards, envelopes, inner envelopes, liners, accommodation and information cards. I am all for sticking to a budget, but focusing on the nicest main invitation you can afford, and cutting costs on every other printed piece," says Kate Pickett from Pickett's Press.

The easiest way to spend less is to forgo as many separate printed pieces as possible. "For instance, we find that a separate reception card is no longer necessary as that information is easily accommodated on the invitation itself. (Traditionally, the invitation only mentions the wedding ceremony, and the reception information would be printed separately). The accommodation information can also be put on a website instead of sent on a printed piece of paper," Pickett adds.

Tip of the Day: "When it comes time to decide on your wedding details, brainstorm items that are available in the colors that you’re using. For example, if silver is one of your colors, Hershey’s Kisses are a great accessory that can be used in so many ways, plus they add a hint of sparkle!" says Kathy Gelbman from Sparkle and Ink.

Tip of the Day: "When you're thinking about the design for your overall wedding, consider details of your relationship with your soon-to-be spouse, things from your childhood and how you want people to feel at your wedding. Inspiration can often come from the least expected places, such as a family heirloom, a memory from childhood or your favorite date-night meal. Something as simple as a vintage, lace hat your grandmother and mother wore at their weddings can have a meaningful impact on your overall design; the lace detailing inspires your wedding dress shopping experience, which then inspires the theme of an elegant garden party," says Lindsey Norton from L. Brook Events.
