Grooms, have some fun with your groomsmen while getting ready for the wedding!

Grooms, have some fun with your groomsmen while getting ready for the wedding!

Tip of the Day: "Future brides-to-be, when you are deciding who you would like to be in your bridal party, take a step back and ask yourself, Is this someone who has played an essential part in my life? Would I feel empty without them standing beside me at the altar? Take a few weeks or even a couple of months to make your final decision. In the end, the bridal party should be a group that makes both the bride and groom happy!" says JoAnna Bayliss from JoAnna Dee Weddings.

Tip of the Day: For an incredible ceremony entrance, ask a loved one or musician to sing a song that has special meaning to you. "One of my couples had a friend perform 'Will You Be There'" by Michael Jackson with the bridal party singing backup as they took their places at the altar. The ceremony programs listed the lyrics and guests were instructed to sing along as well. It turned out to be an entrance no one would ever forget!" says Viva Max Kaley from Viva Max Weddings.
"If a couple prefers the lyrics not be quite as much of a focal point, then I suggest finding an instrumental arrangement of the song, or perhaps hiring live musicians to play an instrumental version," she adds.

Nothing says fall quite like a trip to the apple orchard. To celebrate the season, we've pulled together some of our favorite ways to include apples in your wedding.
Bouquets
Create a bouquet out of red apples and fresh greenery, or add a few crab apples to a classic floral bouquet.
Tip of the Day: "Consider your wedding venue when having your gown tailored. If you’ll be spending the evening dancing in a lush garden, you may want a shorter hem to keep your dress from dragging in the grass and getting caught underfoot. If you’ll be dancing the night away in a marble ballroom, a longer hem that just touches the floor will elongate your body and look amazing," says Christina Pannone from Knieriem Designs Custom Clothing.

Halloween may still be over a month away, but one couple's first dance to "I Put a Spell on You" by Screaming Jay Hawkins will leave you utterly bewitched!
More couples are bucking tradition by paying for the wedding themselves, staging elaborate photo shoots — Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has gotten flack for goofy photos taken at his wedding in 2011, which surfaced the web this week — and redefining what makes a wedding truly unforgettable. Now we're seeing a sharp increase in sports-themed weddings, where even the bride isn't afraid to get a little down-and-dirty with a pre-reception game of touch football.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the trend is catching on — SportsThemedWeddings.com threw about 300 sports-themed weddings last year (10x more than in 2010). Renting an arena can start at $10,000 for 125 guests.
I must confess: I'm not a football fan. Every year, one of my pals hosts a huge Super Bowl fiesta, and my idea of "watching" the game involves glancing at the tube every so often while consuming massive amounts of guacamole and catching up on the latest gossip with my girlfriends. What can I say? It's a time-honored tradition.
