A Trip to Tahoe: Abby & Chris in Tahoe City, CA

There was one thing Abby Whitridge and Chris Berman knew right off the bat: They wanted to marry in the Lake Tahoe area. “Both Chris and I have been going to Tahoe every year since we were kids,” says Abby. “And after we started dating, we went there to ski and to celebrate the Fourth of July and other occasions. Tahoe is a very sentimental place to us.”

A pretty bow was the finishing touch for Abby's wedding dress. “Getting ready with my bridesmaids was really fun—spending the day together on the lake, having our hair and makeup done.”

Abby holds a lush bouquet of a variety of white blooms created by End Design. After the wedding party proceeded down the aisle (to the accompaniment of Beatles songs, childhood favorites of the bride’s), a minister conducted the ceremony, which also featured a reading by Chris’s father. At one point, a passing boat honked its congratulations.
