A Marquee Event: Melissa & Frank in Wausau, WI

Melissa Ann Gebhardt and Frank Tsai tied the knot on August 30, 2014, in what they describe as an evening of "answered prayers and romantic elegance." They met while caring for the same patient at the Arizona hospital where they worked (as a surgical physician assistant and physician, respectively), and they bonded over mutual friends and church. A secret romance developed between the pair, but they didn’t make their coworkers privy to their status.

The bride and groom chose The Grand Theater, a historic building from the 1920s, in Wausau, Wisconsin (the bride’s hometown), as their wedding venue. “I grew up dancing in this theater, so it has a special place in my heart. I still think of our wedding reception and get chills! It was perfect," Melissa says.
