Well this is a bridal party! Unable to say “no” to all of her nearest and dearest, Katie Dalby, who married fireman Norman Gooch in Harwich, Essex, last Saturday, walked down the aisle with a staggering 80 bridesmaids in tow.
Dalby, 26, and a dance teacher, had initially selected six of her closest family and friends to stand by her side on the wedding day. When her students, ages 2 to 17, heard that she was getting married, she was immediately bombarded with requests to join the wedding party.
"It just couldn’t have been fair to choose two or three of them so the only solution was to invite 74 of them — I didn’t want to exclude anyone,” Dalby explained to The Daily Mail.

With the help of their mothers, all 74 additional attendants donned matching pink gowns with black sashes. One mother told The Daily Mail that her daughter was thrilled to be part of the bridal party and the gesture was "such a typically kind thing for her to do."
Photographer, Nina Carman, shared on her Facebook that over 400 guests were in attendance to witness the days events.
According to the International Business Times, a local road had to be shut down in front of St. Nicholas Church, where the wedding was held, in order for all of the bridesmaids to line up before the ceremony. After the ceremony, the couple sat for gorgeous photos that included being surrounded by a heart made from their massive bridal party.
Believe it or not, Dalby isn't setting any records with her large group of attendants. According to The World Record Academy, a Bangkok bride holds the title for having the most bridesmaids in a wedding — she had 95 back in 2012!
