3 Southwestern Hot Spots

Forget about cowboys. These three venues in the Southwest will give you both optimal scenery and accomodations for your wedding away.

Sedona, Arizona

Located two hours north of the state capital of Phoenix, the town of Sedona is a stunning mix of red rock formations, 5,000-foot-high mesas and rugged juniper-tree backcountry. Set at the base of Boynton Canyon, the luxurious Mii Amo Enchantment Resort has the best vantage point in town for jaw-dropping views. Those exquisite vistas are yours when you book an outdoor wedding on the Village Terrace. The large space can accommodate nearly 300 guests for your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The larger Pow-Wow Pavilion features a wall of windows and private outdoor space, while the intimate Juniper House is a cozy area with a fireplace. You’ll have lots of time to relax because local wedding specialists will arrange all the nuptial details, including a delectable reception menu that may feature grilled Tasmanian salmon and seared Colorado lamb. You can stroll along a three-mile path that weaves through the resort’s natural formations, including a narrow red rock pass that is dwarfed by the surrounding jagged sandstone walls. Or simply lounge at the private pool on the balcony of your adobe casita. Note:Since the resort only hosts a handful of weddings a year, it’s best to book early

Rates: Venue site fees start at $6,500 and wedding menus start at $100 per person.
