You Won't Believe How Much Someone Paid for Madonna's Wedding Dress

The Queen of Pop still knows how to create a fashion frenzy, 31 years after releasing her debut album!

Items from Madonna's personal and professional wardrobe were auctioned off this past weekend as part of Julien's Auctions' Icons & Idols: Roll n' Roll bidding event in Beverly Hills. Items up for grabs included dresses from her "Material Girl" music video and the film Evita. However, the wedding dress that she wore to marry actor Sean Pean in 1985 nabbed the highest price: $81,250. (Fun fact: The couple got married in Malibu on the bride's birthday.)

The fabulously '80s style features a full tulle skirt with a peplum effect, but it's the bodice that truly makes this gown fit for a rockstar. According to Julien's Auctions, costume designer Marlene Stewart created the floral sash by layering handmade ombre blossoms with gold bullion trimming, gold tone beadwork and simulated pearls over a band of pink metallic mesh.

Ever the trendsetter, the bride rocked a black bowler hat/veil combo and statement embellished shoes by Di Fabrizio of Los Angeles down the aisle.
