It's a match made in quirky couple heaven: Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are now husband and wife! People confirms that the 51-year-old Mortdecai actor and 28-year-old Magic Mike XXL actress had a civil ceremony at their home in Los Angeles this evening.

The newlyweds will reportedly throw a bigger wedding this upcoming weekend at Depp's private island, Little Hall's Pond Cay. Located in the Bahamas, the $3.6 million 45-acre property boasts six different beaches, top-notch snorkeling and solar-powered residences.

The bride and groom met while filming The Rum Diary together. They got engaged last January after two years of dating — who could forget when Depp made headlines for his unique man-gagement ring? During an appearance on The Today Show, the notoriously private Depp opened up about his ladylove, saying "She's a wonderful girl...She's sharp as a tack. A southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me."
