Surprise: Kate Winslet secretly tied the knot with Ned Rocknroll, the nephew of Richard Branson!
Winslet's rep confirmed to People that the pair, who quietly got engaged this summer, wed earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very small group of friends and family. The wedding was held in a converted barn in New York, and the cozy venue was filled with wild flowers in jam jars and colored lanterns, according to Us.
And Titanic fans will love this: It's rumored that Leonardo DiCaprio walked the bride down the aisle at the ceremony, which was so top-secret that the newlyweds' parents didn't even know about it!
After "I do," the couple Skyped their friends and family to tell them the happy news.
This is the third marriage for Winslet, who was previously married to director Jim Threapleton and director Sam Mendes, and the second for Rocknroll, who was previously married to socialite Eliza Cowdray, daughter of a multimillionaire viscount.
"Ned is really happy with Kate," a source told Us. "He feels he can learn so much from her."
UPDATE: Are the newlyweds planning an out-of-this-world honeymoon? According to the U.K. Sun, the groom's uncle, Richard Branson, "intended to gift Winslet a seat aboard the outer space flight after the actress rescued his 90-year-old mother from a house fire at his Necker Island property last year. However, RocknRoll suggested Branson use the ticket as a wedding gift, which the Virgin tycoon has done."
