After the wedding, one of the biggest questions was whether Timberlake's former 'N Sync bandmates were in attendance. Well, Chris Kirkpatrick cleared the air on the Orlando morning radio show Johnny's House: "I wasn't invited to the wedding, and from what I know, it's because he didn't want all of us there... it would be a reunion rather than a wedding. It was her day."
But here's the faux pas: The bandmates were invited to the engagement party. And, according to proper etiquette, anyone invited to the engagement party (or any pre-wedding party) must also be invited to the wedding.
BG brides, we urge you to work on your wedding guest list before planning any of the events leading up to big day. No, we don't expect you to have your guest list set in stone a year in advance — but we do recommend keeping your engagement party small (bridal party, family, and close friends) in case you need to make cuts later on. Same deal with your bridal shower — the invite list typically includes close female friends and relatives. And, of course, don't send out save-the-dates until your guest list is finalized.
Kirkpatrick, who is also recently engaged, insists there are no hard feelings and says that he might even ask his former bandmates to be groomsmen.
