The bride’s bouquet featured a small charm of an upward-facing horseshoe, which is a symbol of good luck in Irish culture.

When Kaitlin and Steve first laid eyes on Trump International Golf Links and Hotel, they knew it was perfect for their big day.

“Our officiant performed a handfasting ceremony for us with an embroidered cord. It was a fun way to include Irish tradition," says the bride.

With the help of a stationer friend, the couple created a custom crest for their new family. The design was featured on their wedding invitations and programs.

Guests were treated to champagne at the outdoor cocktail hour.

Hors d’oeuvres of smoked salmon, tomato with mozzarella and lobster puff pastries were served during the cocktail hour.

In keeping with an ancient Irish tradition to ward off evil spirits, each guest received a bell to ring as the couple entered the reception tent.

The reception took place in an outdoor tent, which featured antique urn centerpie es and paper lanterns hanging overhead.

The cake was decorated with fresh pink peonies to match the bride's bouquet.
