A mutual appreciation of vintage fashion brought together Erin Adams, a vintage clothing reseller, and Eric Hall, an associate professor of costume design. They met at a festival where Erin had a booth set up to promote her business, and they instantly hit it off. Eric later visited Erin's store; he didn't make a purchase, but he did return the following day to ask her out on a date. "I was out to lunch and had closed the store for an hour. He wrote a note on the back of his business card and tucked it into the shop's door. It read, 'E- stopped by for some CIA envelopes... would you like to have dinner or drinks some time?" -E."

Eric popped the question in January before the pair attended a fundraiser together. Erin was running late and still getting ready when he arrived to pick her up. "As I was putting on my finishing touches, he casually asked if that was the jewelry I was planning on wearing. Confused, I turned around and found him down on one knee on my bedroom floor. He asked, and I said yes!"

The groom designed the Ouiju-inspired invitations, which were printed on wood by Cards of Wood

Erin carried a rose wreath instead of a traditional bouquet. "I created my wreath of red roses the day of, sitting on the floor of the bridal suite while my friends had their hair and makeup done. It was a great moment to relax and enjoy some laughs and champagne," she recalls.

To mirror the Halloween theme, Erin handcrafted the groom's cufflinks out of teeth. Eric's unique ring is a vintage signet ring made of gold, onyx, and diamonds. "The sides form two Es, which we really loved."

The bride and her dad walked down the aisle to "La Vie en Rose" by Louis Armstrong.

The ceremony took place on the back lawn of The Cooper House under an oak tree with a pumpkin-lined aisle. Before the ceremony, the couple wrote love letters to each other and tucked them into a box that'll be opened on their first anniversary.

"I was really worried that our guests wouldn't take the 'costume' part of the wedding seriously. Seeing guest after guest in spectacular, thought-out costumes was amazing. They really nailed it," shares Erin.
