Real Wedding: Magic in the Air in Charleston

There was plenty of magic at Anna and Alex’s wedding, some carefully planned and some wonderfully unforeseen. Set in the bride's hometown of Charleston, the ceremony unfolded on the beguiling grounds of a historic estate that had long since been transformed into the high school Anna once attended.

An effusion of florals on wrought iron gates welcomed guests to a rolling lawn filled with enchanting moments, from lily pad-dotted ponds to conch shell-studded walls. The buffet gleamed with treasured silver from the family’s personal collection, including heirlooms from Charleston’s beloved, multigenerational Croghan’s Jewel Box.

And then came even more magic. The couple’s Palm Beach-chic palette of hot pink and green was met with a rare Southern surprise. In the days leading up to the celebration, snow dusted the city, adding a sparkling touch that Anna and Alex will marvel over for the rest of their lives.
