Our Top Trend Predictions For Meghan Markle's Wedding Dress

Meghan Markle may not officially be gaining the title of "princess" when she weds her RL Prince Charming (Harry) on May 19, but her wedding gown is sure to be something straight out of a fairytale. Here, the top trends that we think will perfectly suit the royal occasion.

1. High-neckline
High-neck gowns are inherently regal and offer a classic covered-up look for a traditional religious ceremony. Prince Harry and Meghan intend to tie the knot at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, so this Ellis Bridals gown would fit as perfectly as Cinderella's glass slipper. Plus, the designer is based in London and is, therefore, our front-runner for the royal wedding.

2. Illusion Details
A subtle way to show off some skin is with illusion detailing and we love the combination of the Guipure lace bodice and satin fit-and-flare skirt of this Paloma Blanca gown. If Meghan chooses this trend, she can assert her femininity while still remaining respectful of the royal society.

3. Scalloped Accents
The addition of scalloped detail gives a sweet, ultra-feminine touch to a traditional lace wedding gown. This voluminous Rosa Clará ball gown features the trend on the neckline, hemline, and back. We can definitely see Meghan floating down the aisle in this trend.

4. Dazzling Beadwork
After her 2011 ceremony, Meghan's future sister-in-law Kate ditched the long (but obviously stunning) train of her Alexander McQueen gown for a more reception-ready look. This bedazzled Justin Alexander Signature fit-and-flare gown is an opulent design with a touch of subtle sexiness in the plunging illusion V-neckline.

5. Three-dimensional Florals
Florals are always a favorite for spring weddings and the long train on this Eddy K gown is simply stunning. If Meghan chooses this trend, the three-dimensional elements will really make her gown pop in all of the paparazzi's photographs.

6. Color
This isn't Meghan's first wedding and because of that, there is a good chance that she will choose to forgo the traditional white wedding gown. The subtle blush hue of this Hayley Paige gown is the perfect choice for a modern princess bride.

Bonus: Capes
According to royal tradition, Meghan will most definitely be wearing a tiara to her spring ceremony, and instead of taking away from the beauty of her headpiece with a veil, she may opt for a long cape instead. This flowing lace-edged Mary's Bridal cape is the ultimate pick for a royal entrance.
