Confirmed: Lady Gaga is Engaged!

Lady Gaga is engaged to marry longtime beau Taylor Kinney — and he popped the question on the most romantic day of the year!

The 28-year-old singer (real name: Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) is known for pushing the envelope in her musical performances. However, she revealed a decidedly more girlie and sentimental side when she posted a photo of her huge heart-shaped engagement ring on her social media accounts over the weekend. She captioned the post "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!" Plus, check out 75 of the Prettiest Engagement Rings Right Now ►

According to the Times Herald-Record, the pair celebrated the momentous occasion at Gaga's family's restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, in New York City. The singer reportedly exclaimed "It was time!" as she showed off her new sparkler to loved ones.

Mother Monster (as her fans affectionately refer to her) and the Chicago Fire actor, 33, have been dating on and off for four years. They met in 2011 when Kinney starred in the "You and I" music video. (Interestingly, Gaga wore her mother's wedding gown in the racy video!)

During a revealing interview with Howard Stern, the bride-to-be explained that she and Kinney bonded over their mutual creativity. Also, he grounds her from the chaos of fame: "He was the best. He used to sweep me off my feet, throw me on the back of his motorcycle and take me to the beach, no security. They'd be screaming at me, yelling at me on the phone all day, and he'd throw it in the back of his beach shack," she says.

When the subject of marriage inevitably came up with Stern, Gaga shared that Kinney "is the right guy" because she "just has that feeling with him."

So what can we expect from their wedding? During the same interview, the bride-to-be joked "If I get married, I'll be hanging out in a pickup truck at a David's Bridal while my stylist is screaming at me, trying to put a blonde wig on my head." One confirmed guest: Elton John will definitely be there to celebrate her "I dos" (she's the godmother to his children).

Congratulations to the happy couple! Stay tuned for more wedding details as they emerge.
