Maui Honeymoon Sweepstakes


Official Sweepstakes Rules (no purchase necessary). Sponsored by Bridal Guide, New York, NY. Entries must be received by January 14, 2009.


1. The sweepstakes is open to any legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who is 18 years or older except where prohibited by law. Employees, immediate family members (parents, siblings and children) of employees, and those living in the same household as employees of Bridal Guide, RFP LLC, Maui Visitors Bureau, Maui Prince Hotel and any and all subsidiaries and their corporate suppliers are not eligible. SWEEPSTAKES VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. All federal, state and local laws apply. Entrants agree to publication and/or display of his/her names, addresses (limited to city and state), likenesses, voices and/or photographs, where lawful, at the discretion of the Sponsors, without further compensation. Participants are subject to official sweepstakes rules.

2. The Sweepstakes runs from 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on November 12, 2008 through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on January 14, 2009. Entrants may enter online at bridalguide.com/winmaui or send a postcard with your name, address, email, wedding date and phone number to Bridal Guide, Maui Honeymoon Sweepstakes, 330 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001. All entries become the property of the Sponsor, who assumes no liability for late, misdirected, lost, damaged, and incomplete entries, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility at Sponsor's servers or elsewhere, all of which will not be eligible. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the web site.

3. First Prize: one awarded: approximate retail value is $7,000: a six-day/five-night stay for two adults at the Maui Prince Hotel in Maui, Hawaii. Prize includes: accommodations in an ocean-view room, round-trip coach airfare for two, convertible car rental for 6 days, and one romantic dinner for two at Chez Paul restaurant. Second Prize: 10 awarded: approximate retail value is $50 each: Gift baskets with lavender beauty products and specialty items from Ali'i Kula Lavender in Maui, Hawaii. (TOTAL ARV: $7,500)

4. The winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about January 28, 2009, under the supervision of Bridal Guide magazine, the judges of the sweepstakes, whose decisions will be final. By accepting a prize, each winner agrees to release Bridal Guide, RFP LLC and participating affiliates, agents and employees from any and all liability, claims, injuries, actions or proceedings arising out of and/or sustained in connection with use, acceptance or possession of prizes. Potential winners will be notified by email and/or by certified mail and/or by phone, at the Sponsor’s discretion. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 5 days from the date the Sponsor first tries to notify him/her, and/or the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner forfeits all rights to win the Sweepstakes or receive the prize, and an alternate potential winner may be selected. Potential winners may also be required to sign and return Bridal Guide’s Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability within 14 days of notification, or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen. Return of prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.

A copy of the Bridal Guide Affidavit of Eligibility may be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope (VT residents may omit return postage), to Affidavit of Eligibility, Bridal Guide, Maui Honeymoon Sweepstakes, 330 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001. The number of eligible entries received will determine odds of winning. Limit one prize per family or household. If through a printing, production or other error more than one winner is notified for a prize, one winner will be selected in a random drawing from among those notified. Bridal Guide makes no warranties with regard to the prizes. Prizes are nontransferable, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash. There are no substitutions for the prizes, except at the sole discretion of the sponsor. Bridal Guide reserves the right to substitute brand, make and model of products promoted. Bridal Guide also reserves the right to withdraw prizes for any reason. Prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received.

5. All Maui Honeymoon travel must be completed by March 12, 2010. No extension will be given after the prize has expired. Package inclusions may be subject to change. Accommodations, travel dates and coach-class airfare are subject to blackout conditions and are based on availability at time of booking. Air travel is from the winner's nearest major North American gateway city to Kahului Airport (OGG). Car rental will be available for airport pick-up and return. To secure car rental, driver must be 25 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and a major U.S. credit card in his/her name. Winner must book at least six weeks prior to requested departure date. Once booked, travel dates are final and will not be changed or extended. The winner and guest must each possess valid travel documentation.

6. First-prize winner will be responsible for the following: any and all local, state and/or federal taxes, air or ground transportation to and from gateway departure city, gas, insurance, food and beverages, gratuities, any airline fuel charges levied after ticket purchase or fees for bag/extra bags and any other expenses not specified as part of the prize. Second-prize winners will be responsible for any and all local, state and/or federal taxes. Winners will be issued an IRS 1099 form for prizes valued over $600.

7. All applicants’ names will be added to Bridal Guide, Maui Visitors Bureau and Maui Prince Hotel mailing lists.

8. Only the winners will be notified. The names of the winners may be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope after April 1, 2009 but before May 31, 2009 (VT residents may omit return postage), Maui Honeymoon Sweepstakes, Re: Winners, Bridal Guide, 330 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001.
