Anne Hathaway married fiancé Adam Shulman on Saturday evening!
The Oscar-nominated actress, 29, and actor/jewelry designer, 31, held the wedding at a private estate in Big Sur, California. Over 100 guests attended the private ceremony and reception, kicking off the festivities on Friday with a rehearsal dinner at the Ventana Inn and Spa.
The bride wore a custom Valentino ballgown with off-the-shoulder sleeves, which she accessorized with a sizeable headpiece. (See their sweet wedding photos here! ). Designer and good friend Valentino Garavani leaked the news about a week ago at New York City Ballet's gala, telling reporters "he did the dress" for Hathaway, adding "she's like a daughter!"
So what did one of the most highly-anticipated weddings of the year look like? People magazine reports that the wedding had nature-inspired décor that incorporated lots of branches, while a source told Celebuzz that the "white, pink and rustic" affair had over $100,000 worth of flowers. The couple's wedding planner was Yifat Oren, who also planned Natalie Portman's August nuptials in the same location.
The star of Dark Knight Rises and the upcoming Les Misérables film originally said her big day wouldn't take place anytime in the near future.
She told Hello magazine: "We're getting married, probably sometime next year-ish [referring to 2013]. Not this year, it's too big with two films coming out. I haven't started planning yet. I was filming Les Mis when we decided to do it, and there was no way I could think about anything wedding-related with my head in the space it was in then."
The couple, who have been together four years, got engaged last November, when Shulman proposed with a six-carat ring he co-designed with Kwiat Jewelers.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
