Tip of the Day: Tell potential vendors how much you can afford to spend upfront and choose vendors who operate on transparency. "Decor and flowers are usually the highest priorities for my clients. And before I get them drunk with wedding decor ideas we have an honest discussion about budget. I find out what their comfort level is for the decor budget, if there is room for overage, what their expectations are, and if their expectations match their budget," says Heather Thomas from Heatherlily.

"Everyone, no matter how much money they have, has a budget. Whether you're building a house, buying a car, applying for college or planning a wedding, there is always a budget. It's not a bad word and it's important for both the client and vendor to be honest with one another," she adds.
