There was one thing Abby Whitridge and Chris Berman knew right off the bat: They wanted to marry in the Lake Tahoe area. “Both Chris and I have been going to Tahoe every year since we were kids,” says Abby. “And after we started dating, we went there to ski and to celebrate the Fourth of July and other occasions. Tahoe is a very sentimental place to us.”

It didn’t take long for the Venice Beach, California, couple, who both work in online marketing, to find and book the Carousel Estate, a lakefront property with four houses, where family and friends could stay for the weekend. They loved its casual yet posh feel and immediately decided to infuse those qualities into every aspect of their big day.
