Buy Guide
Follow these shopping tips from Helena Krodel of the Jewelry Information Center in New York City.
- Avoid unisex styles. A man’s accessory should be clearly masculine and have some weight to it.
- Look for oxidized gold, silver and other precious metals. The darkened look is more subtle, less shiny—and right on trend.
- Go for comfort. “Jewelry for men should have a seamless feeling,” says Krodel. “Avoid pieces that are binding or restrictive.”
- Always keep his style in mind so he’s emotionally comfortable wearing whatever you’ve picked out.
