Luxurious Style: Wedding Gowns by James Clifford

After designing wedding gowns for over 40 years, James Clifford has developed a unique style which features elegant, ultrafeminine "ladylike" designs.

Using luxurious fabrics, Clifford says he tries to envision a bride at her ceremony, and then works to create a wedding gown appropriate for such a solemn and sacred occasion.

James Clifford's Tips:

Always wear a veil—the longer the better. It creates an air of mystery and completes your bridal look. If you expect to remove it for the reception, wait until after your formal photos have been taken.
Select an off-white or light ivory gown—these shades look luxurious and are more flattering than bright white.
When choosing bridesmaid dresses, opt for a design that comes in a variety of styles so that each woman can choose the most flattering silhouette for her body.
