Kenneth Pool’s Tips:

• When you shop for a gown, leave any negative feelings you might have about your body at home. It’s a simple fact that every bride looks beautiful on her wedding day.
• If you fall in love with a gown early on, trust your instincts. Don’t talk yourself out of buying it by saying, “It’s only the fourth one I tried on.” It’s not necessary to shop for months and months. Your gut will tell you when you’ve found “the one.”
• Avoid wearing your hair in a tight, lacquered updo, which can make you look 10 years older. It’s more youthful and modern to wear your hair, say, half-up, half-down.
