He is originally from Grenada but he moved to England to visit his sister and look for a job. I am from Mexico, but I went to Cambridge to practice my English.

When we first met, we became friends very soon and started dating immediately. We had the best with each other in Cambridge, but our happiness ended when I told him I had to go back to Mexico for school, and he had to join the British army.

I came back to Mexico just before Christmas and he joined the army. We agreed not to end our relationship because we really loved each other, and we were sure we would see each other again. But the time passed, and a long-distance relationship was not easy at all. So after two years we broke up, but we kept in touch.

Then in January 2006, I had the opportunity to go back to Europe for a semester. That was when we met again. He went to France, and for the first time in three years, we saw each other, and it was as if we'd never been apart. We got back together, and the day before I went back to Mexico he proposed to me in one of the most beautiful gardens in London.

After I was back in Mexico, he came to visit me and meet my family. And now we are planning our wedding. It will take place in Mazatlan on March 29, 2008, on one of the greatest beaches in Mexico.
