How it happened...

First, you have to know that The Philbrook museum is where we had our very first date and also the first day we met.

Also, Dain is a lover of the arts.

We begin...

Oh this ring is for me!

To navigate my thoughts away from a proposal, Dain had told me that there was a show case of Queen Victoria’s art up for display at the Philbrook museum and he really, really, wanted to go. I had a friend’s bridal shower earlier that day, but promised to hurry and not miss this what he called "once in a lifetime event".

We began walking through the 23 acre Italian Renaissance villa for about 20 min when we approached a table flowered in rose petals and a vase of flowers. In the center of the table was a plexy glass display case that he had hand cut and glued himself. Inside this heartfelt plexy glass cut box was a custom designed cushion cut beautiful ring!!! I really thought nothing of the table or ring and honestly just thought it was something on display for the museum.

Then he looked at me with a nervous grin and opened up the display case and picked up the ring. Now I started putting two and two together... “Oh this ring is for me”. He got down on one knee and asked the simple but life changing four words, "Will you marry me?" I replied "of course" Soon I was not holding myself up anymore but, jumping excitedly into his open arms. We celebrated out into the breathtaking gardens where his long time friend met us with champagne and captured the memorial day....We couldn't be happier!!!!
