Time-Saving Appliances

Greetings busy b-to-b beauties...I know if I am, then you MUST be! Now, I'm not a travel guru like the lovely Miss Jenna (a b-to-b herself), so I was like a kid in a candy store when Sears invited me to Chicago to see the hottest must-have-makes-me-shed-a-tear-because-I-have-no-space-for-them appliances.

Despite a late start and ridiculous traffic after dropping Mol at the sitter's, when the driver picked me up, I was calmed, composed and…were you thinking collected? I did the happy dance all the way down the stairs! I arrived at the hotel just in time for the cocktail reception where I was cordially greeted by Caroline and Dorthea (from Euro PR) and introduced to the top dogs from Sears. Let me tell you, not only do these guys (Bruce, Larry, Steve, Mike and so many more) run a company that creates and sells the BEST appliances on the market, they are gracious, charming and know how to make a girl laugh (well, all the guys were laughing too).

In addition to seeing drool-worthy stoves, fridges, dishwashers, washer/dryers and countertop appliances, one of my favorite parts of the day was touring the lab. Yes, they have a lab—like a scene out of Willy Wonka with test contraptions and sound-proof rooms and mad scientists (Not really! Just passionate peeps) that strive to create better, faster, more beautiful products every day. What also hit home was the staff's passion—I thought appliances were cut and dry; they do a job and that's it. Not at this company! They research, they test, they even go into people's homes (yeah, like you or me or Joe Schmo next door) and watch the wife/mom/housekeeper/working superwoman who just needs to get things done—fast.

freestanding induction ranges

Richard showed us the newest freestanding induction ranges. The heat is on but he could still touch it.

dual-cavity ovens

With these new lines of dual-cavity ovens, you can bake cookies while roasting a chicken. Your hubby love you!

french-door models are a big seller right now

According to Mike, the fridge guy, French door models are a
big seller right now.

kenmore elite steam washer

Laurie and Eva showed us that the Kenmore Elite Steam washer can load up to 25 bath towels.

Still drooling, I became more and more impressed with their knowledge, passion and attentiveness to MY needs. I live in Manhattan so I can't use these products...yet. Someday I will and I’ll remember that they aim to create the “want to” moments, not the “have tos." This means, for example, everyone HAS to eat (and when take-out is not an option), induction ranges (73% more efficient than gas) actually shave 20 minutes of cooking time off your day. Which, in turn, means you can spend an extra 20 minutes a day doing the want to’s—cuddle with your man, watch your fave TV show, play with the pup, call your bff, look at Bridal Guide, whatever your little heart pleases.

Info overload? Sorry! That’s why next time I will get into the stats and pics of what you MUST register for. Remember, a lot of people chip in for gifts so big-ticket items are NOT off limits. Listen, ladies, if you have the space, go for quality, design and convenience; you will own these items for 7–10 years. That surpasses any relationship I've had yet! Cheers!
