Perfect Lighting
I’m a romantic at heart. I just can’t help it. And when I set out for an evening in with my honey, I am all about setting the mood. And in my dictionary, that means lighting every candle in the house…literally dozens, especially the tea light versions that can be strategically placed almost anywhere. I mean, come on ladies, who among us does not look better (and feel sexier) in the soft glow of candlelight? I will actually spend a good twenty minutes lighting candles, even in the bathroom, and I only live in a studio!
Unfortunately for me, and the furniture and carpet in my house, with candles comes wax, and with wax, comes the inevitable spill. Especially for me. Case in point: the $800 chair that has green wax dribbled down its back and the television armoire with similar splatters at the base from candles left unattended or burning too long (oops…I guess we weren’t paying attention). And before we recently replaced the carpet with hardwood floors, there were several not-so-subtle patches of various colored spills that just couldn’t, or stubbornly wouldn’t, be swept under the rug.
Well, thanks to the innovative team of the designers at Vessel, my plight is solved (and future furniture saved!). Their patented line of Candela lights are a godsend to the girl who wants to set the mood, but not the house on fire. Sleek and sexy in design, these portable, rechargeable and completely eco-friendly electric lights come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors to fit in with any décor. When not in use, they sit on their charging platter and even come on automatically in the event of power failure. I also like the Luau line of portable lamps that can be strung in the backyard or used to line a walkway. Not that I have a backyard or a walkway in New York, but I did once upon a time when I lived in a little cottage in California, and these would have been just perfect to illuminate my weekly game night bashes. Yes, I did actually live in a cottage. With a backyard that had a cobblestone walkway. And it was the cutest 450 square foot house ever.

Very cool...and cool to the touch...
These sound fantastic...cute candles without the mess or danger... I had a friend whose Fiance left her a few surprise valentine's candles in her room...and burned down the house...literally... Definitely going to check these out!!!
