Outdoor Fun

I look at furniture all day long but it’s not often I see comfy couches and coffee tables set up in the middle of a park—unless you were at JCPenney’s launch of Linden Street home furnishings at Sara D. Roosevelt park in NYC last week. The event started at 5:30 and children were welcome, so I rushed home, grabbed Molly and cabbed it over to the lower east side.

In addition to highlighting their new collection (tons of options for any home!), the event unveiled improvements to the basketball court area in the park. Dozens of kids from the local YMCA enjoyed a game of hoops, some swanky hors d’oeuvres and a dose of music straight from my high school days! Molly was by far the youngest attendee and despite all the excitement happening around us, she passed out after about twenty minutes.
