One of the perks of my job is that I get to attend fabulous press events and see new products before they hit the market. I went to a Sferra event a couple days ago, one of the oldest and most luxe Italian linen companies in the world, and was treated to the best of both!
The Sferra Crystal Cloth Pure linen towels (available in black, butter, cadet, claret and kiwi) immediately caught my eye. When Paul Hooker bought the company from Gennaro Sferra in the late 70’s, Mr. Sferra asked Paul what he used to clean his crystal glasses with. He responded that he used a regular cotton cloth, to which the elder informed him is a big no-no in the world of glassware. To leave crystal sparking and lint-free, a 100% pure linen towel must be used.
