Anti-Oopsie Device

Ever drop a camera and broken it? Me too! Ever have a camera sit in a puddle of water at the bottom of your beach bag? Hey, me too!

Well BuiltNY has come to the rescue of this klutz with a cool, padded little digital camera case, called the Hoodie, that I’ve been using for a week now. I LOVE it! I got it in a chic green, but it also comes in fun dot and striped patterns. My Kodak EasyShare digital camera gets dragged everywhere I go these days, chronicling life in New York and interesting things I get to look at. During work hours, I endlessly see things I want to share with you guys, and on the weekends my son Max (and hubby Kerry) can’t stop doing the cutest things—I just have to record them.

The rigid Eva core on my Hoodie takes the brunt of all the bangs, dings, drops and bounces while the soft terry-feel lining helps keep the screen from getting scratched. The squishy, stretchy neoprenene material accommodates to fit many brands of slim cameras and helps keep moisture and splashes from hitting it. Plus, there’s an inside pocket for storing a memory card (ever lose one? wahhhh!) and extra charged batteries. A handy strap keeps it—hopefully—on your wrist. And at $15 (BuiltNY.com) it’s a perfect bridesmaid gift! Lights, digital camera, action!
