Get that Celebrity Look

We look at celebrity weddings and many of us wish we could afford something similar, but we have no idea how to work the budget. I have worked with many different types of celebrities—athletes, actors, comedians and even artists—and I'm here to tell you that it is possible. Did you know with a little training from yours truly, you too can actually walk in the shoes of a famous icon for a day? Literally!

Let’s chat about the gown. Wouldn't it be fab if you could wear Catherine Zeta Jones’ wedding dress? Did you know that in hidden pockets of NYC and LA you can actually rent a gown that was worn by a celebrity? They charge a percentage of the gown's retail price. For a few thousand dollars, you can easily wear a $100,000 gown! How’s that for feeling like a celeb? Shoes can be rented, too. You can acutally say you've walked in Heather Lockleer's shoes before and mean it!

Now diamonds are a gal's best friend, and we all know ANY form of bling is good! We might not be able to buy those $100,000 chandelier earrings, BUT we can rent them! There are several jewelers that will rent you fab bling for a little fee. Well, it may not be so little depending on the size and detail. Do you remember that famous scene in Pretty Woman where Richard Gere opened the gorgeous velvet box and revealed a million dollar necklace? Is this really just for the movies? No. You CAN rent fabulous jewelry for the day. There are places all around the country that offer rentals. If you're in the right part of town, someone might even share what Elizabeth Taylor wore in Cleopatra.

Once you have that celeb dress and lots of rented bling, wouldn't it be great to work with a celebrity makeup artist who may have worked on Heidi Klum a few days ago?

If you’re on the east coast, pay Kimara Ahnert (Catherine Zeta-Jones’ wedding day makeup artist) a visit! Her studio is located on Madison Avenue. Emmy award–winning makeup artist Eve Pearl is just a subway ride away too, and she’s Today show host Meredith Vieira’s personal makeup artist. They aren't as pricey as you would think!

So now that you're ready to go, why not search for paparazzi to take pictures at your wedding? Call US magazine and find out if they have any good photographers on staff—you're sure to get an earful of juicy gossip and you'll be photographed by real paparazzi. They can make you look as good as the stars in the photos. Did you know while I was planning Malinda Williams' wedding she hired the paparazzi? Smart to have them working with you—instead of catching her in a robe with glasses, she looked her best.

Well ladies, I have more to share, but I've gotta run. Tune in next week for more information on how to get married in style like your fave silver screen starlet!

Xoxo
