Table Talk
The other evening several BG editors and I visited the Wedding Salon bridal show at the Roosevelt Hotel here in NYC. Wedding pros including florists, event planners, cosmetic companies, photographers, fashion designers and caterers, set up their displays so that local brides could seek out great ideas and find resources for their own celebrations. I don’t know about you, but I do love the pomp and circumstance, beauty and fantasy that weddings offer and the gorgeous table settings we saw did not disappoint. These Ď‹ber-glamorous displays of creativity were quite fantastic with their towering centerpieces, lush flowers and unique table settings. Here’s a look at a few:
White blossoms float in pretty bowls on this gold and white table designed by Frank Alexander for the Mandarin Oriental:

Golden-hued candles and dinnerware grace this table bedecked with plum and lavender flowers by D3W Creative Concepts:

David Tutera’s towering Lucite and floral centerpiece sits atop a pretty, all-white table design:

Here, Robert Isabel, Inc. goes green with topiaries and white blooms on a green-leaf tablecloth:

Flowers by Topaz’ black-and-white table décor is appropriately dramatic (sans the paper cup and mini cupcake someone left on the table!):

Whereas Ariston Florist’s blue, white and silver table could be the perfect design for a winter wedding:

Four tall trees surrounded the golden table designed by the appropriately-named Carrie Gold Events:

And Celebrate Flowers created an elegant table featuring a crystal centerpiece:

Organic elements were also added to the décor, including this menu placed on riversticks from Sassi Concepts & Designs, Inc./'Yours By Design' custom invitations and stationery:

The chair backs were also inventive. I love this floral-strewn and crystal creation by Ariston Florist:

Pretty amazing, isn’t it? I hope you found these ideas inspiring and have fun creating your own table designs. Work closely with your caterer, florist or event planner to make sure that all the details are to your liking—from the look of the chairs to the tablecloths, dinnerware and glasses, menu design and centerpiece. After all, you’ll want your reception to reflect your own very special style.
