Wedding Invitations

I want my wedding invites to be personal and I think handmade invites add that perfect personal touch. So, in my research, I found this awesome paper website (remoteassistance.com) for several different types of invitations. I purchased the tangerine envelopments, magenta square cardstock for the inserts, and vellum paper with our names, wedding date and our wedding logo. Then I printed it, assembled it and put it all together with a nice little bow. Sounds easy enough, right?

Materials:
Glue Stick
Heart Shaped Hole Puncher
Sheer Ribbon—cut into two pieces, the length is your preference
Envelopment Paper
Velllum Paper
Card Stock

Directions:
1. Set up margins in a Word document to match the size of your insert. This is going to contain the actual wording of your invitation, so it needs to fit.
2. Type the invite and make sure it prints in the center of the cardstock (I tried with regular paper first so I wouldn't waste the cardstock.)
3. Once the ink dries, glue a square outline tracing the inside edges of the envelopment.
4. Print your monogram, wedding symbol, date, etc. on the vellum paper.
5. Press the printed cardstock insert down firmly into the envelopment. Let it dry for about 15 minutes.
6. Place printed vellum paper on top of cardstock.
7. Punch a hole in each triangular flap of the envelopments, about a 1/4-inch from the point.
8. Thread the ribbon through the hearts, so that the back of the pocket fold makes a "+" symbol.
9. Tie into a bow.
10. Take these to the post office to be hand cancelled because you can't put them in a regular mailbox.
