Give a Little Bit

Charitable gestures are always welcome—especially around the holidays. But when you include them in a day as important as your wedding, the impact really is that much greater. That’s why I have to tell you about two newly launched programs from two extremely worthy causes. The first comes from the World Wildlife Fund, the largest conservation agency in the world, which is dedicated to protecting endangered species and promoting sustainable practices and energy efficiency. The World Wildlife Fund Weddings and Celebrations Site and Registry is ideal for couples who want to give their guests the option of donating to WWF’s conservation programs in lieu of giving traditional wedding gifts. You’ll simply create a personalized web page with a link to the gift registry site. Or, make a donation to WWF on behalf of your guests as a wedding favor (you can print elegant announcement cards to display on reception tables). Favor donations are now also available from The American Institute for Cancer Research. These can be a special way to honor a loved one who succumbed to the disease. Click here to create a personalized table card, scroll or bookmark.
