Gifts for Your Guy

It’s that time again…photo shoots! I’m really excited about this story because it’s different than what we usually cover. We decided that your man needs a little lovin’ too and covered the best of the best in electronics, barware and outdoor gear. Here’s a peak at what we shot.

What girl doesn’t love to unpack 40+ boxes at 9:00 a.m.? Luckily, the art department sent their intern, Alicia, to help. Unpacking the boxes isn’t nearly as painful as trying to get everything to fit back in.

First shot of the day was for the Tech guy. Here, Alicia is plugging an iPod nano into the Vers bamboo docking station.

Alexandra, photog extraordinaire, shoots one version. The final version that ends up in the magazine is one of many options that were taken. That’s why, unfortunately, some products don’t make it in.

Lindsay taking a picture of me taking a picture of her with Fujifilm’s Instax instant camera. It’s their take on the recently deceased Polaroid. It was fun to use but didn’t make the shot…I thought I was getting the white version and it came in black and blue.

Some of the products we had to choose from…Nintendo’s Wii gaming system, the Avatar gaming mouse, Vers iPod docking station (I love the bamboo finish), Sling Media’s Slingbox allows you to access your TV cable through any internet connection on your laptop or phone and Garmin’s GPS navigation system is the perfect companion for road trips. Can you see why it was so hard to narrow down my choices? I want most of this stuff!

More products: I especially loved Fujitsu’s ScanSnap scanner. It’s the small silver gadget on the under Sanyo’s yellow dual camera/camcorder. It’s portable and scans practically anything and files it in your computer. So want one!

Lindsay on the other hand, went gaga for the Bose QuietComfort 2 headphones.

This was the last shot of the day and the trickiest. It’s all the things your man uses outside: grilling equipment and sporting goods. For some reason, I didn’t get a shot of the bar set-up so you’ll just have to buy the issue when it hits stands in May.
