A new wedding-planning trend is sweeping across the Internet: Hotels are now featuring blogs on their websites with big-day planning tips. These blogs offer helpful advice to make your big decisions (like whether to have a buffet-style or plated dinner) a little easier. Here, a few of our favorites:

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai
This oceanfront resort, set on the Kona-Kohala Coast of The Big Island, just launched a blog written by their wedding planning team. The wedding specialists write up-to-date posts on the different ceremony and reception venues at the resort, catering and wedding cake ideas, and more planning tips. One recent post talks about lighting your event, while other focuses on different kinds of cakes. The real weddings section includes recaps of celebrations with links to such remarkable slideshows that you'll feel as if you were there. The blog also invites couples to share their experiences honeymooning at the resort.

The Breakers Palm Beach
Another beautiful oceanfront resort, this hotel is a wildly popular wedding destination in Florida. Their Wedding and Celebrations team has created a wedding blog that they update almost daily. We love that it’s easy to navigate to specific categories, like Engagement Shoots, For the Foodie, and Wedding Advice. The detailed posts include images, recipes, and links to vendors, and they focus on the little things — like which cocktails to add to your menu and which type of bowtie your groomsmen should wear. Here, the real weddings include an array of photographs, as well as quotes from the bride on planning her day.

Hawthorne Hotel
Located in the heart of Salem, Massachusetts, this circa 1925 hotel has a historic feel while serving as a modern wedding locale. The hotel’s website gives helpful big day info on its blog, called Wedding Diary. Some entries feature links to real wedding photographs and videos provided by the couples. Others go beyond the reception to offer unique ideas on rehearsal dinners. Plus, the site has a running list of links to favored local vendors, including florists, photographers, music companies and more.

Cork Factory Hotel
This hotel is a charming place for a wedding in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with warm rooms built with brick walls, wooden beams and fireplaces. Every few months, the wedding department publishes photographs of a real wedding with links to the specific vendors used. They also keep readers up to speed with the latest wedding trends by filling us in on the seminars and events that they attend (a favorite example is a linen seminar on dressing tables in the color of the year, Tangerine Tango). The Cork Factory Hotel is also on Pinterest, highlighting their favorite ceremony layouts, wedding menus, cake designs and more.
