Comedian/actor Andy Samberg went from inhabiting Lonely Island to being happily married! The SNL alum, 35, wed Joanna Newsom, 31, at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, California this past Saturday. (Fun fact: Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway both tied the knot in the same picture-perfect region.)

The opposites-attract couple — the groom is best known for hilarious and envelope-pushing video skits à la D-ck in a Box, while the bride is a classically-trained harpist/singer in the indie-folk music scene — dated for five years and got engaged last February before saying "I do." Reported guests in attendance included comedic heavyweights such as Justin Timberlake (accompanied by his wife, Jessica Biel); Adam Sandler; Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler.
Although photos haven't surfaced (yet!) E! News reports that the bride wore a custom-designed couture wedding gown by Zac Posen, which the designer described as being "magical." Way to keep us in suspense!
What we do know is that Samberg was happy to pitch in with the wedding plans (to a certain extent) while taping Brooklyn Nine-Nine, a new comedy TV show where he plays a talented yet immature detective. "I think it's good that I'm busy because if I was trying to help too much I would get in the way of the wonderful vision that is hers, not mine. I'm trying to think of a good analogy. It's like, 'Don't ask a finger painter to come in when you've got Picasso there.' I'm the finger painter," he told New York magazine.
Now that the planning is over, Samberg is prepared to take on his most pivotal role: husband. In an interview with Access Hollywood, his "Brooklyn" co-star, Terry Crews, said that "I gave him all my love, I let him know I've been married 24 years, so I'm like, 'Dude, be serious, this is real.' And he's like, 'I'm ready man, I'm ready.' That told me everything I needed to know about what a great guy Andy Samberg is."
Congrats to the newlyweds!
